Nothing has introduced its highly anticipated new flagship truly wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear 3, to tech enthusiasts. Combining the company’s iconic transparent design with metallic touches, the new model offers improvements in sound quality and a first for the industry with its “Super Microphone” system integrated into the charging case.
Nothing Ear 3 Features Rival AirPods Pro 3
The Nothing Ear 3 combines the brand’s signature transparent aesthetic with polished metal components, offering a more premium look and feel. The thin Metal-Insulated-Metal (MIM) antenna, designed to increase signal strength and sensitivity, is one of the most striking design details. With an environmentally conscious approach, the bottom of the charging case is crafted from 100% recycled aluminum, offering both durability and sustainability. The earbuds and charging case are IP54 certified for dust and water resistance.

The most striking innovation that distinguishes the Nothing Ear 3 from its competitors is the dual-microphone “Super Mic” system built into the charging case. This system, activated by a dedicated “Talk” button, filters out ambient noise up to 95 decibels during phone calls, focusing on the user’s voice with exceptional clarity.
This feature allows for crystal-clear conversations even in the noisiest environments. Voice memos can also be recorded directly from the charging case using the Super Mic and converted to text using the Essential Space app. To further enhance call quality, each earbud features three separate microphones and a Bone Conduction Sound Pickup Unit (VPU) that detects micro-vibrations from the jaw and ear canal, enhancing the sound.
Taking sound quality to the next level, the Nothing Ear (3) features larger and improved 12mm dynamic drivers compared to the previous generation’s 11mm drivers. These new drivers, with a patterned diaphragm design, enhance bass and treble response, providing a wider and richer soundstage. Real-time Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) reduces environmental noise by up to 45 decibels, while the system continuously analyzes the user’s surroundings and the fit of the headphones, automatically adjusting the level of cancellation.
The Ear (3) also boasts impressive battery life, offering up to 10 hours of listening time on a single charge with ANC off. This extends to a total of 38 hours with the charging case. Fast charging support provides 10 hours of use with just a 10-minute charge. The case supports both wired and wireless charging via USB-C. The headphones feature Bluetooth 5.4 technology and support for the LDAC codec for high-resolution audio, and offer a low latency mode of less than 120 milliseconds for gaming and video playback.
These headphones, which will be available for $179, will be available in the Turkish market in the coming months.
