Last year, Nothing entered the smartphone market and quickly became a focus of attention. The company has completed preparations to introduce its new model this year, Nothing Phone (2), and has announced some of its technical specifications and details.
Nothing Phone (2)’s technical specifications
CEO Carl Pei confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) model will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor contains a Cortex-X2 core running at 3.19 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.75 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores running at 1.80 GHz. The processor, manufactured using 4nm technology, also includes Adreno 730 in its graphics interface.
Pei stated that they chose the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 because it is “best-in-class for power consumption and heat management.” Pei also provided information about the camera features, stating that “Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 has an 18-bit Image Signal Processor (ISP) that can capture 4,000 times more camera data than the ISP used in the first model of the Nothing Phone series. As a result, the Nothing Phone (2) camera will offer advanced features such as Raw HDR and 4K recording at 60 fps.”
According to leaked information, the new Nothing Phone model will offer 8 GB/12 GB RAM options. It will also have 128 GB/256 GB storage options.
Nothing is also improving the screen features in their new device. The Nothing Phone (2) will have a 6.7-inch FullHD Plus resolution screen. The device will use an AMOLED panel with 120Hz screen refresh rate.
The Phone (2) model will run on Android 13-based NothingOS 1.5 interface. The company will provide 3 years of main version updates and 4 years of security updates for the new model.
The new model will come with a 4,700 mAh battery. However, it is estimated that the device will have a price tag between $600 and $800.
