In a significant move, the innovative smartphone brand Nothing has officially confirmed a critical detail about its much-anticipated Nothing Phone (4a) series. The company announced that its new devices, set to be unveiled on March 5, will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets, putting an end to recent speculation.
New Nothing Phone 4a Snapdragon Processors Confirmed
The tech manufacturer clarified the rumors with a promotional image shared on the X platform. This confirmation applies to both the standard model and the higher-tier Pro version, ensuring both will utilize Qualcomm processors. This strategic decision continues the successful formula seen in previous Nothing devices. However, the company is still keeping the exact Snapdragon model a secret for now.
Leaks and performance benchmarks strongly suggest that the standard model will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. This processor is built on a 4nm manufacturing process and includes a primary Cortex-A720 core running at 2.7GHz. Additionally, it is paired with a high-performance Adreno graphics unit. On paper, this hardware positions the device to be highly competitive in the mid-range market segment.

Battery, Camera, and Revamped Lighting System
Beyond the processor details, both models are expected to share some core hardware features. The devices will reportedly come with a massive 5,400mAh battery supporting 50W wired fast charging. Furthermore, the rear camera setup is said to include a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom. The most significant hardware difference between the models appears to be in the iconic rear lighting design.
Design Differences Between the Models
The standard model is expected to use a simplified Glyph Bar featuring nine independent LEDs. On the other hand, the Pro model will likely feature a more advanced Glyph Matrix system, drawing inspiration from Nothing’s flagship series. We will have to wait for the official launch on March 5 to see all these exciting hardware details confirmed.
