ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia has officially unveiled the new foldable phone, Nubia Flip 2. Introduced in Japan and set to launch on January 23, the phone stands out with its enhanced cover screen, water resistance, and the new MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor. The Nubia Flip 2 aims to take user experience to the next level with AI-powered features.
Nubia Flip 2’s Foldable Design and Enhanced Screen
The Nubia Flip 2 features a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution on the inside. The top of the screen has a hole for a 32 MP selfie camera. On the side of the phone, there’s a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button.

The cover screen measures 3 inches with a resolution of 682 x 422 pixels. This screen allows quick notifications and navigation within some apps. However, Nubia has not yet disclosed which apps will be optimized for this small screen.
Not only does the Nubia Flip 2 offer a stylish design, but it also aims to enrich the user experience with AI-powered features. The phone offers a local AI assistant integrated with regional apps, specifically for Japan. Additionally, the ‘AI response’ feature stands out for users who lose their phone or don’t wish to respond.
Powered by the Dimensity 7300X processor, the Nubia Flip 2 utilizes a chipset optimized for dual-screen smartphones. It comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, running on Android 14. The phone’s 4,300 mAh battery supports PD 3.0 fast charging and can be fully charged in just 55 minutes. The phone is also water-resistant, with IPX2 and IP4X certifications, making it resistant to water droplets and small objects.
The Nubia Flip 2 will be available in Black, White, and Blue color options. In Japan, it will be priced at 64,080 Japanese yen (around $410) through Yahoo! Mobile.
