In February 2023, Microsoft and Nvidia announced a partnership to add Microsoft’s games available on PC Game Pass to the Nvidia GeForce NOW cloud gaming service. The first games launched in May 2023. Since the agreement, many PC Game Pass games have made their way to the service.
Nvidia GeForce NOW will transform the gaming experience
Microsoft’s Xbox X account announced that users will have the option to launch and play some of the PC games listed on the Xbox.com games page through GeForce NOW. The announcement is a small part of Microsoft’s plan to expand the Xbox ecosystem.
The GeForce NOW service will allow users to connect to Nvidia’s servers to play games on powerful GPUs like the GeForce RTX 4080 for a monthly fee. GeForce NOW members who have a PC Game Pass subscription from Microsoft can play these games on most devices without having to pay extra.
Earlier this month, Microsoft and Amazon announced that users who purchase Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire Stick 4K Max will be able to download and use an Xbox app to play games through the Xbox Cloud Gaming service with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
With these new features and bundles, Microsoft’s efforts to bring its gaming ecosystem to a wider audience continue unabated. The integration of PC Game Pass and GeForce NOW will give gamers more flexibility and choice, enriching their gaming experience.
