NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has revealed that demand for the company’s next-generation Blackwell AI chips is exploding. In an interview with CNBC, Huang said that the chips are being produced at an incredible pace and customers are eager to get their hands on them. Huang even used the term “insane” to describe the demand.

So why are these Blackwell chips in such high demand? In short, the new chips contain 208 billion transistors and are manufactured on the TSMC 4NP process, an advanced manufacturing technology. This means that they deliver incredible performance and energy efficiency. Developed especially for artificial intelligence applications, the chips are powerful enough to shape the technologies of the future.
NVIDIA plans to launch 450.000 Blackwell chips in the last quarter of 2024. The sales of these chips are expected to generate a revenue of 10 billion dollars. Stating that they are accelerating production to meet customer demand, Huang thinks that the chips will cause a demand frenzy in the market in a short time.
NVIDIA will further consolidate its already strong position in the artificial intelligence world with Blackwell chips. So much so that it is certain that the new generation of chips will open the doors to a new era in the world of technology.
