NVIDIA’s RTX 4010 graphics card, which is said to be exclusively for the Chinese market, has seen the light of day. The new model is actually designed for OEM (original equipment manufacturer) systems and includes all the key features of NVIDIA’s high-performance cards. So how did the card come into existence? Details in our news…
China Exclusive NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4010 graphics card reveals
According to the leaked details, RTX 4010 is based on NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace architecture. According to the technical details, the card offers a performance level between RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 models. However, since the RTX 4010’s VRAM (video memory) capacity is 8 GB GDDR6, we can say that the card will appeal to both gamers and professional users.
These types of cards are often rumored to be dangerous for several reasons; for one thing, they are not official in any way, so in case of any complications or difficulties, NVIDIA is out of the picture. One YouTuber who somehow managed to get his hands on the chip explained that it’s enough to install the GeForce drivers, just like any other NVIDIA card, and this fictitious RTX 4010 works just fine.
The card is also said to run with a PCIe 4.0 interface and 115W TDP (thermal design power). This means lower power consumption and the potential to be used in compact systems. In fact, there are two important reasons why NVIDIA is only offering this model for the Chinese market: First, the restrictions and increased regulations imposed by the Chinese government on foreign trade. The second is the desire to respond specifically to the demand of major OEMs in the Chinese market.
The fact that the RTX 4010 will only be available to OEMs means that it will not be available for individual sales. Accordingly, it’s more likely to appear in off-the-shelf systems. Even if this model does not address the global market, it may lead us to see similar strategies in OEM systems in other regions.
