Microsoft is introducing a new feature to increase the opening speed of Office applications. This innovation will allow applications to run silently in the background when the computer starts. This innovation, which was implemented with Word in May, will also allow users to open Office programs faster. This important innovation has been greatly welcomed by users.
Office applications now open faster
The feature called Startup Acceleration aims to keep Office applications in memory and provide instant access when needed. A minimum of 8 GB of RAM and 5 GB of available disk space will be required to use this feature. When energy saving mode is enabled, the feature will be completely disabled. Microsoft aims to preserve energy efficiency to a great extent in this way.

In addition, for those who do not want this feature, the option to disable it via the settings in Word will be provided. Windows uses the same method for processes such as Chrome and OEM driver updates. In contrast, applications such as Adobe Creative Suite run their startup processes directly in the normal Windows startup area, allowing users to easily disable them.
This important innovation from Microsoft aims to make users’ Office experience faster and more efficient. The new feature will be available first in Word and then expanded to other Office applications.
