With the latest 2.21 update, Nvidia’s DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation has been introduced to Cyberpunk 2077. Designed specifically for Nvidia’s RTX 50 series GPUs, DLSS 4 uses AI to boost FPS by up to three times. Interestingly, RTX 40 series card owners can also take advantage of DLSS 4. Here are the details!
What Does DLSS 4 Offer in Cyberpunk 2077?
According to CD Projekt Red’s patch notes, DLSS 4 brings accelerated single frame generation and reduced memory usage to Cyberpunk 2077. Players can now choose between the traditional CNN model and the new Transformer model. The latter enhances stability, lighting, and detail in dynamic scenes for features like DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA.

One of the biggest surprises of DLSS 4 is that it works not only on RTX 50 series cards but also on RTX 40 series GPUs.
On Cyberpunk 2077 community forums, players testing DLSS 4 on the RTX 4070 at QHD resolution reported noticeable improvements in visual quality. Clothing textures, facial details, and lighting effects appear significantly cleaner, all while maintaining consistent performance without major drops in FPS.
Currently, it’s reported that 75 games will support DLSS 4. However, early adopters of the RTX 50 series may need to wait for more games to receive updates. Similarly, RTX 40 series owners are hoping for an increase in DLSS 4-compatible titles.
