After releasing GTA 5 on virtually every device imaginable over the past decade, Rockstar Games continues to withhold new materials for GTA 6 while steadily rolling out content for GTA Online. This week, the anticipated release of the GTA 6 trailer was expected but failed to materialize, drawing criticism from fans. In response, the developers have issued an official statement. Here are the details…
Take-Two CEO: “GTA 6 Will Be Worth the Wait!”
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has claimed that GTA 6 is poised to become one of the greatest games of all time. Zelnick stated, “We will deliver an experience far larger and more exciting than what players are expecting. Our teams are working on innovations never before imagined.” He also emphasized the importance of fan feedback, noting that these insights serve as a guide for the development of future games.
Since its release in 2013, GTA 5 has been ported across multiple generations of consoles, reaching millions of players over the course of 11 years. Building on this success, Rockstar aims for GTA 6 to have an even greater impact. Zelnick added, “Even we couldn’t fully predict the success of GTA 5. But we are confident that we will surpass that success with GTA 6.”
Rockstar Games continues to guard GTA 6 as if it were the universe’s biggest secret. Aside from an official trailer, virtually no details about the game’s content or gameplay features have been shared.
However, Zelnick hinted that the game is packed with “surprising” innovations from the development team. Additionally, a former Rockstar developer’s comments about NPC behaviors influencing players have further raised expectations.
Finally, GTA 6 is reportedly set to launch in the fall of 2025. Until then, Rockstar Games is expected to share more details.
