The range in which the new iPad Mini and iPad Air models equipped with Samsung’s OLED displays are expected to be released has been announced. Let’s find out when we will meet the new generation iPad Mini with OLED screen.
iPad Mini release date with OLED screen will be in 2026
Samsung Display has started developing an OLED display for Apple’s new iPad Mini. This is important because Apple wants to bring the OLED technology it has already used in the iPad Pro to more affordable models.
Samsung plans to start mass-producing OLED displays in late 2025, which means the new iPad Mini could be available as early as 2026.
The fact that Samsung Display is now selling its OLED displays to Apple makes it a key supplier for Apple’s future iPad models. These displays will dramatically improve the user experience by delivering more vibrant colors and better energy efficiency. OLED displays will also allow for thinner and lighter designs, making the iPad Mini more portable.
Apple’s planned innovations for 2026 are not limited to the iPad Mini. The iPad Air is also expected to be updated with an OLED display in the same year. The new 10.9-inch iPad Air model will offer users a superior visual experience by switching from existing LCD displays to OLED. In addition, a larger 12.9-inch iPad Air model is expected to be released with an OLED display in 2027.
Apple’s introduction of the new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with OLED and ProMotion technology in recent weeks is considered as the beginning of this transition process.
A transition model of the iPad Mini is also expected to be released later this year to address the sliding problem with the current models. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
