Some users of the Galaxy S23 series have started reporting serious camera issues after installing the Android 15-based One UI 7 update. While the update was expected to improve overall performance, it appears to have negatively impacted the camera experience for a portion of users.
Has the Galaxy S23 Series’ Camera Performance Dropped After One UI 7?
Users have noticed a significant drop in photo quality following the One UI 7 update. Images now appear blurry, colors look washed out, and there’s an evident loss of detail. Before the update, the Galaxy S23 series was known for capturing sharp and vibrant photos.

One user expressed their frustration by saying, “After the update, the camera quality on my Galaxy S23 has noticeably declined. What can I do to fix this? My phone can no longer capture long-distance landscapes, and the images look blurry.” Another added, “Even in bright sunlight, my photos now look dull.”
The issue isn’t limited to just the three main Galaxy S23 models. Users of the Galaxy S23 FE have also voiced similar complaints, particularly regarding low-light performance, with some stating that night shots are now too dark.
Beyond reduced image quality, the camera app itself has become sluggish. Users report delays when switching between shooting modes or waiting for photo previews to load after taking a shot.
Some users have tried clearing the camera cache or resetting settings to resolve the problem, but these methods haven’t been very effective.
Samsung has yet to release an official statement on the matter. However, support teams are urging users to report their issues via the Samsung Members app. It’s hoped that a future update will address and fix the current camera problems.
