Samsung has kicked off the stable One UI 8.0 release, with the Galaxy S25 series getting the update first in South Korea.

After leaving beta, One UI 8.0 is now being pushed to eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets. South Korea leads the rollout, with global availability expected shortly after. As usual, carrier-locked versions may lag behind.

Samsung confirmed which devices will receive the update this year, ranging from flagships to entry-level models.

Here’s a breakdown of confirmed models:

    • Phones: Galaxy S25, S24, S23, S22, S21 FE, A73 to A06 range
    • Folds/Flips: Galaxy Z Fold 6 to Fold 4, Flip 6 to Flip 4
    • Tablets: Galaxy Tab S11 to Tab S8 series, Tab S10 Lite, FE models

With such wide coverage, Samsung is making a clear push to bring Android 16 features to more users quickly.

Beyond Android 16’s core upgrades, One UI 8.0 brings Samsung-specific features focused on AI and productivity. Key additions include:

    • Gemini Live and Circle to Search for fast contextual actions
    • Enhanced Knox protection for device security
    • Personalized suggestions powered by on-device AI
    • Optimizations for foldables and tablets with large displays

These updates aim to make multitasking feel more fluid, especially on premium hardware like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Tab S11 Ultra.

While the rollout starts now, users on older or carrier-locked devices might wait a few more weeks. Samsung’s update timeline often moves in waves.

Samsung has a track record of hitting its update targets quickly once things get moving. With the S25 already getting it, and other regions next in line, the global push is clearly underway.

This update isn’t just a version bump; it’s Samsung’s most AI-focused software to date.
