Samsung has once again proven that it doesn’t discriminate between flagship and budget devices in its rollout of the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update. Today, the company officially began rolling out the update to both its high-end Galaxy Tab S9 tablet series and its new members in the budget segment, the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A16. Here are the details.
One UI 8 update also released for these devices
The tech giant has accelerated its rollout of the new update in recent days and has begun rolling it out to more models. The update, which was released for the entire Galaxy Tab S10 series, has now been released for the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy A15, and Galaxy A16.

As always, South Korea was the launch site for One UI 8.0 for all these devices. This is good news for Galaxy Tab S9 users. The update for the tablet series is expected to roll out to other markets in the next few days.
Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A16 users, however, should be a little more patient. When it comes to Samsung’s budget phones, major operating system updates can take up to several weeks to reach the global market.
If you have one of these devices and are located in South Korea, you can manually check for the update:
- Open the Settings app on your phone or tablet.
- Go to the Software Update menu.
- Tap the Download and Install button.
For those who don’t rush, their devices will automatically send a notification when the update is available in their country.
