The countdown has officially begun for OnePlus’ new flagship, the OnePlus 12. The smartphone is expected to be unveiled in China on December 4 and later released globally, with new details continuing to emerge. Recent reports reveal the design and color options of the device.
OnePlus 12 design appeared
The smartphone will feature a hole-punch display design and slim bezels. On the back, a circular quad-camera setup will be present. The device will be available in black, green, and white color options. It will come with a 2K curved OLED panel and a 120 Hz display refresh rate.
OnePlus recently confirmed on Weibo that the upcoming OnePlus 12 will use the new Sony LYT-808 sensor as the main camera. The use of this sensor is expected to provide enhanced image quality and performance, especially in low-light conditions.
Another camera on the smartphone will be a 64-megapixel periscope sensor, using the OmniVision OV64B sensor and offering up to 3x optical zoom. The sensor will also feature optical image stabilization (OIS).
The base version of the OnePlus 12 will offer 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. According to a previous leak, the device will also be available in configurations with 16 GB and 24 GB of RAM, and storage options up to 1 TB.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, manufactured using TSMC’s 4 nm technology. The processor will include 1 ARM Cortex-X4 core at 3.3 GHz, 3 ARM Cortex-A720 cores at 3.2 GHz, 2 ARM Cortex-A720 cores at 3.0 GHz, and 2 ARM Cortex-A520 cores at 2.3 GHz. The new chip will feature the Adreno 750 graphics unit with Ray Tracing support.
The OnePlus 12 will come with a USB 3.2 port and support 50W wireless charging. The battery capacity is reported to be 5,400 mAh. Additionally, the device is said to include an infrared sensor.
