OnePlus’ highly anticipated new flagship, the OnePlus 15, is set to be unveiled globally on November 13th. Shortly before the device’s launch, the company shared the first striking details about the performance, display quality, and overall efficiency improvements it will offer users. These statements paint a clear picture of the OnePlus 15’s technical capabilities.
OnePlus 15 Sets a Record Battery and Fast Charging Technology
The most striking announcement the brand made today was that the OnePlus 15 will boast the largest-capacity battery ever used in a OnePlus device on the global market. The new flagship comes with a massive 7300mAh silicon battery.

On the charging front, OnePlus is ensuring its users both speed and protection. The device offers support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. Designed specifically for gamers, the bypass charging mode allows the device to be directly charged during gameplay, reducing heat buildup and preserving battery health. The company claims that the battery will retain more than 80 percent of its charge even after four years and will operate reliably even in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius.
The key to stable and uninterrupted performance lies in the completely revamped Cryo-Velocity Cooling System. This advanced structure, based on a 3D vapor chamber, an aerogel insulation layer, and graphite components, dissipates heat extremely efficiently. This ensures the phone remains comfortable to hold, even during extended gaming sessions or intensive multitasking.
The OnePlus 15 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This processor is accompanied by a dedicated touch chip with 3200Hz sampling and a dedicated Wi-Fi chip for consistent connectivity. Combined with OxygenOS 16 optimizations, this hardware aims to deliver stable gaming experiences at high frame rates and lag-free app switching.
The phone’s visual quality is enhanced by its 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO panel. This display offers a 165Hz refresh rate for the smoothest visuals in supported games. Outdoor brightness reaches 1800 nits, while the minimum brightness is set at 1 nit for nighttime comfort. The display is TUV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 certified and features adaptive features to reduce visual fatigue during extended use.
