OnePlus is officially bringing another high-performance phone to market. The upcoming OnePlus Ace 6T will launch in China this November, and it’s already making headlines thanks to one standout spec. It’ll be the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, Qualcomm’s next-gen flagship chip.
OnePlus Ace 6T becomes first Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 device

Confirmed by OnePlus President Louis Lee on Weibo, the it is no longer a rumor. Though OnePlus hasn’t revealed an exact release date, the company is clearly positioning the it above the Ace 6, which launched in October.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is still mostly under wraps, but early leaks suggest it outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Elite the chip used in devices like the OnePlus 13 and other 2024 flagships. If true, the Ace 6T will likely deliver significant performance gains in both gaming and multitasking.
Ace 6T tipped to feature 165Hz display and massive battery
While specs remain limited, OnePlus has shared a few official teaser posters. The Ace 6T is expected to include:
- A 165Hz refresh rate display
- A possible 8,000mAh battery
- High-efficiency fast charging (exact speed still unknown)
These upgrades could make the Ace 6T a powerhouse for users who prioritize screen responsiveness and battery life.
Ace 6T may become OnePlus 15R globally
Historically, OnePlus has launched Ace series phones in China, then rebranded select models for international markets. Based on previous leaks and teasers, the OnePlus Ace 6T could launch globally as the OnePlus 15R.
The OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 have already seen localized variations, so a renamed 6T would follow the company’s typical strategy.
OnePlus aims to dominate the upper mid-range
With a rumored price higher than the Ace 6’s CNY 2,599 (~$366), OnePlus seems to position the Ace 6T as a performance upgrade. With its new chipset, fast display, and large battery, the phone could blur the line between mid‑range and flagship.
More details should surface soon as the launch window tightens. But with OnePlus pushing new hardware boundaries, the Ace 6T (or 15R) may become the go-to choice for power users who want top-tier specs without flagship pricing.
