Opera has updated its mobile browser on the Android platform with important innovations. With Opera Android Version 89, users are offered a comprehensive experience in terms of multi-tab control. The update is available for download from the Google Play Store.
Opera has introduced the expected innovation for the Android platform
One of the most striking features that came with the new version is “Tab Islands”. Thanks to this feature, users can create a more organized tab structure by grouping thematically similar tabs.

To group tabs, it is enough to long-press a tab and drag it over another tab. Users can name these islands, change their order and rearrange them whenever they want.
The system can also automatically collect similar content in the same island when a link is opened in a new tab. In addition, three new layout options were introduced with this update. Users can now view the tab gallery in carousel, grid or list format.

A “Recently Closed Tabs” section has also been added to provide quick access to accidentally closed tabs. This makes it possible to access past tabs up to the last 100 tabs. Closed tabs can also be brought back to their respective tab islands.
A tab search feature has also been integrated into the browser. This function, which can be accessed via the magnifying glass icon at the top right of the browser, allows users to search for keywords within open tabs.
The new update offers a more controlled and customizable browsing experience for multitasking mobile users. What do you think about this? You can share your views with us in the comments section below.
