Opera GX, specially designed for gamers and particularly popular among streamers, has introduced its new version with significant advancements in artificial intelligence, featuring the new AI assistant Aria. Among the innovations are image generation, voice interaction, chat summarization, and providing connections related to conversations.
With this latest development, Opera aims to continue its battle among formidable rivals like Firefox, Edge, and Chrome. Here are the latest details.
Opera GX equipped with artificial intelligence
The next-generation AI, Aria, integrated into Opera GX, utilizes Google’s Imagen2 model for text commands and image generation capabilities. Users can generate up to 30 images per day and have the option to retry if unsatisfied.
Additionally, Aria now has the ability to understand user-uploaded images and provide context about them, allowing Opera users to ask questions related to the uploaded visuals.
New text-based features have been added to Opera GX, such as ‘Chat Summaries’ and ‘Source Links’. Chat Summaries provide a brief overview of conversations conducted with Aria, helping users quickly review key points without scanning through entire logs. This feature is beneficial for users who want to recall essential details from lengthy discussions.
Source Links, another feature, will provide relevant links related to topics discussed with AI. This feature aims to help users delve deeper into subjects of interest, access additional information, and verify AI responses.
