Oppo is set to unveil its most advanced foldable phone in terms of design, durability and connectivity technologies with the Find N5 Satellite Edition. The device was spotted testing on Geekbench and confirmed to use a special version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Details in our news…
Oppo Find N5 Satellite Edition Appears on Geekbench: Here are the details
Oppo Find N5 will have separate versions for China and global markets. The model listed on Geekbench is thought to be the China-specific Satellite Communications Edition. According to the test results, the single core score is 3,000 and the Multi-core score is 8,333. In fact, these scores are considered average for a flagship with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, although they are quite good for most devices.

The reason for this is that Oppo uses a low-power chip specially designed for foldable phones. Other technical details of the device are as follows:
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite (customized version),
- RAM: 16 GB,
- Operating system Android 15,
- Display: Extended foldable screen,
- Durability: Stronger water and dust protection (IP rating may be improved),
- Camera: Advanced camera system developed in partnership with Hasselblad,
- Connectivity: Satellite communication support.
The Find N5 Satellite Edition will be the first Oppo device to support satellite connectivity. This technology is said to be a great advantage for emergencies or messaging out of range. We’ve already seen brands like Huawei, Apple and Samsung working on similar technologies. It is not yet clear whether this model will only be offered to certain markets or whether it will go on sale globally.
