Oppo’s Find X9s isn’t due for several more months, but that hasn’t stopped early details from slipping out. A reliable leaker has already outlined the core upgrades coming to the compact flagship highlighted by a 200 MP main camera and a serious power boost under the hood.
200 MP camera puts Oppo Find X9s on the map

The standout spec in this leak is the Sony IMX09E sensor a 200 MP main camera that puts the Find X9s well ahead of its predecessor in raw imaging power. Paired with a 3x periscope lens using Sony’s IMX09A, the phone is expected to deliver “impressive ultra-telephoto capabilities,” according to Digital Chat Station.
It’s a clear shift in Oppo’s mid-cycle refresh strategy, pushing more premium camera hardware into a compact form factor.
Dimensity 9500 Plus and 7,000 mAh battery expected
Oppo reportedly plans to pair the camera setup with MediaTek’s yet-to-be-announced Dimensity 9500 Plus chipset. This SoC should offer notable performance gains over the one found in the Find X8s.
Backing that power, the Find X9s will likely house a sizable 7,000 mAh silicon carbon battery a big step up for a device expected to keep its 6.3-inch display. That combination of compact form and large battery could set the phone apart from most flagship competitors.
Here’s what’s been leaked so far:
- 200 MP Sony IMX09E main camera
- 3x IMX09A periscope lens
- Dimensity 9500 Plus chipset
- 7,000 mAh silicon carbon battery
- 6.3-inch display (same as X8s)
Launch timing hints at early debut
The Find X8s launched five and a half months after the X8 and X8 Pro, and the X9 series is on track for an earlier debut. If Oppo follows the same rhythm, the Find X9s could arrive as early as late March or the first week of April 2026.
With these specs, Oppo isn’t just refreshing the X8s, it’s reshaping what a compact flagship can look like. The megapixel war may be tiresome, but packing it all into a 6.3-inch body? That still makes heads turn.
