Oppo’s newly launched Reno 15 is already making waves in China, but the global version might look almost entirely different. According to new leaks, Oppo is preparing to launch the Reno 15 outside of China by February 2026, and if the rumors hold, it won’t just be a straight rebrand.
Oppo Reno 15 global version to ditch most Chinese specs

The Chinese Reno 15 features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 8450, and a 6,200 mAh battery packed into a slim 7.99 mm frame. It also boasts a 200 MP main camera, putting it in flagship territory.
But leaker Yogesh Brar suggests the global variant won’t carry over any of these headline features. In fact, every major spec might change.
Global Reno 15 may feature Snapdragon chip and new camera setup
Instead of Dimensity, it is expected to ship with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. While capable, it lags behind the Dimensity 8450 found in the Chinese model, meaning a noticeable dip in performance for international buyers.
Camera specs will shift as well. The 200 MP main sensor will reportedly be replaced by a 50 MP primary, along with another 50 MP 3.5x telephoto lens and an ultra-wide camera with unconfirmed specs. The downgrade in resolution could sting, but the inclusion of a telephoto lens may appeal to those who prefer zoom flexibility over megapixel count.
Larger display and battery expected
In terms of Global Reno 15’s physical design, the international Reno 15 could be larger overall. Brar points to a 6.59-inch OLED screen and a 6,500 mAh battery, both modest upgrades over the Chinese version in size and capacity. It’s a shift that may help the phone appeal to broader markets, even if it comes at the cost of slimness.
Oppo preparing global release for early 2026
Brar suggests Oppo will announce the global Reno 15 by February 2026, positioning it to follow recent launches like the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro. With nearly every spec expected to change, this looks less like a simple export and more like a region-specific redesign.
If these rumors are accurate, Oppo’s global Reno 15 won’t just differ from the Chinese model; it might feel like a different phone entirely.
