Oppo has officially unveiled its new smartwatch, the Watch S, featuring an ultra-thin body. The device stands out with its 8.9 mm thickness and 35 grams of weight. It shares a strong design with the Oppo Watch X2, but the digital crown and buttons are flush with the case, eliminating any protrusion.

This design detail makes the watch one-quarter thinner. Key features include up to 10 days of battery life, a skin temperature sensor, and an ECG sensor.

The round-designed smartwatch features a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with a 464×464 resolution. The display boasts a maximum brightness of 3000 nits, making it a standout during outdoor workouts. The device normally limits brightness to 1500 nits to conserve battery life.
The watch, with its 330 mAh battery, lasts up to 10 days when power-saving mode is enabled. When the always-on display (AOD) feature is enabled, the battery life is reduced to 4 days. The thin metal casing offers water resistance up to 50 meters; the device is rated at 5ATM and IP68. The watch features a BES2800BP chip and 4GB of storage.
The Oppo Watch S is equipped with heart rate and SpO2 sensors, as well as an ECG and skin temperature sensor for comprehensive health monitoring. These sensors enable sleep tracking and the tracking of over 100 sports activities. It uses a dual-band GPS module to record distance covered during activities such as running and cycling.
The device also features an NFC chip for contactless payments. The smartwatch runs ColorOS Watch 7.1 and is compatible with iPhones running Android 10 or later and iOS 14 or later. It uses Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity.
The Oppo Watch S comes in three colors: green, silver, and black. The “Vibrant Green” model is priced at 1499 yuan ($210). The price for the silver and black color options is set at 1299 yuan ($182).
