DJI appears ready to unveil the Osmo Mobile 8, and possibly a Pro variant, as new leaks and listings hint at pricing and feature upgrades.
Osmo Mobile 8 appears in early store listing

An early retail listing has surfaced for the Osmo Mobile 8, hinting that launch plans are well underway. Although the image used was a placeholder from the Osmo Mobile 4, the listing briefly showed the new model priced at $149. It’s unclear if that figure is final or just a placeholder, but it suggests that third-party sellers are gearing up for an official release soon.
A Pro model could follow the standard Osmo Mobile 8
DJI may follow a similar path to its last release. In February, the company launched the Osmo Mobile 7 alongside a 7P model. If that trend holds, we could see an Osmo Mobile 8P with more advanced features. Rumors point to improvements like three-axis stabilization, LiDAR integration, and support for DJI’s Mic series.
These additions would likely set the Pro variant apart, especially if DJI follows the same pricing gap as last time.
What features might be coming?
Although DJI hasn’t confirmed anything officially, sources familiar with the matter have floated several upgrades:
- LiDAR-assisted stabilization across the lineup
- Battery life up to 12 hours
- DJI Mic compatibility for better audio capture
- Possible inclusion of ActiveTrack 8.0
- Improved build for heavier smartphones
FCC filings suggest launch is close
Back in July, unreleased DJI gimbals quietly appeared in FCC listings. The documents didn’t reveal much but did confirm the Osmo Mobile 8 name. Since then, speculation has picked up, and new retail signals suggest a release could happen within weeks.
Final image and pricing still unclear
Despite the early listing, there’s no confirmed look at the final design yet. It’s possible that DJI will unveil both models at the same time, but so far, all signs point to the regular version coming first. Either way, with retailers preparing early, the wait won’t be long.
