Pac-Man handhelds mark 45 years with retro style and built-in games
Pac-Man’s been gobbling ghosts for 45 years, and now he’s back, fitting in your hand. My Arcade has released two special Pac-Man handhelds to celebrate the anniversary, bringing arcade vibes into 2025.
Pac-Man handhelds feature five built-in games

Both the Pocket Player Max and Mighty Player come loaded with five classic titles. They offer simple plug-and-play nostalgia without extra downloads or setup. Here’s what’s preloaded:
- Pac-Man (Classic)
- Pac-Man (Speed-Up)
- Pac-Land
- Super Pac-Man
- Pac & Pal
It’s a tight mix that spans early mazes and side-scrolling weirdness.

Pocket Player Max keeps it simple and sharp
At $69.99, the Pocket Player Max hits that sweet spot between price and function. It comes with a 3.5-inch full-color screen, adjustable brightness, and a rechargeable battery that lasts up to six hours. You can play through the built-in speaker or plug in with a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The box includes a case, charging cable, and screen protector, nice touches that add real value.
Mighty Player adds style to Pac-Man handhelds
The Mighty Player costs more at $119.99, but it brings something extra. Its wood finish sets it apart from most modern plastic shells, giving it a real retro feel. Even so, its core specs are nearly identical to the Pocket Player Max.
That means same screen, same games, and similar six-hour battery life. You’ll get a USB-C charging cable like before, plus an AC adapter this time.
My Arcade’s retro push continues
These Pac-Man handhelds follow My Arcade’s earlier SEGA collab, where it rolled out two portable devices starting at $59.99. That drop hit hard with retro fans, and this one likely will too.
With both devices now shipping through select retailers, Pac-Man is once again back in players’ hands. This time, though, he’s bringing his own screen and some solid throwback energy.
