Recent reports reveal that Palworld briefly surpassed Xbox’s perennial favorite Fortnite in player numbers in the US, once again highlighting its growing popularity. The game also achieved impressive sales figures on Steam, reaching 8 million players in less than six days.
Palworld reportedly surpassed Fortnite’s Xbox player count in the US on January 22. Although this achievement was a one-day event and player numbers were described as “close,” the game’s ability to temporarily surpass Fortnite on Xbox is considered a notable achievement.
Developer Pocketpair is proactively addressing the game’s various bugs, aware of the game’s rapid rise and associated challenges. The studio also laid out a roadmap for the future of the early access game and outlined plans for significant improvements.
These include player versus player (PvP) elements, end-game Raid Bosses, new creatures called “Pals” and other exciting additions that will enhance the gaming experience.
