Path of Exile 2 stirs up Steam in launch day
Path of Exile 2, developed by Grinding Gear Games, exceeded expectations during its early access period and left rival games behind. The action RPG game topped Steam with more than 539,000 concurrent players.

Path of Exile 2 is currently available for purchase starting at $29.99, while Path of Exile was offered as a free-to-play game. PoE 2 also offers $59.99 and $99.99 bundles that offer in-game currency, skins and effects, also, players can use PoE 2 currency to enhance their gameplay experience.
Despite being paid, the game has a huge player base and has managed to outsell Marvel’s free-to-play Marvel Rivals, which launched around the same time. Marvel Rivals reached 451,000 concurrent plays on Steam on Saturday, December 7.

Of course, the launch of Path of Exile 2 was not without problems. Hundreds of thousands of gamers were stuck at the login screen for hours as Grinding Gear Games struggled with database issues. Grinding Gear Games was able to resolve the technical difficulties and early access continues to run smoothly.
The game also received praise from Elon Musk. The billionaire referred to the new game as “the child of Elden Ring and Diablo”. The game is also available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles.
