According to JATO Dynamics data; Peugeot 208 became the best-selling car in Europe in March, leaving Dacia Sandero behind. The French brand’s compact hatchback model sold 25,241 units last month.
Peugeot 208 takes the lead in the European market
This result means an increase of 7 per cent compared to the same period last year. Dacia Sandero, which was at the top of the list in January and February, fell to second place in March. Sales of the vehicle decreased by 6 per cent to 24,577 units.

Renault Clio took the third place. The model sold 23,062 units in March, down 3% compared to last year. Nissan Qashqai took the fourth place with 22,826 units.
Qashqai sales decreased by 9 per cent on an annual basis. Volkswagen Golf is in fifth place. Sales of Golf, which reached 21,553 units, decreased by 17% compared to the same period of last year.
The top 10 list also includes Volkswagen T-Roc, Opel/Vauxhall Corsa, Peugeot 2008, Volkswagen Tiguan and Ford Puma models. Of these models, the Volkswagen Tiguan performed remarkably well. Tiguan sales increased by 42 per cent to 19,591 units.
