Sony has officially announced the highly anticipated October 2025 Game Catalog for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. This month’s list, especially in time for Halloween, is packed with titles sure to delight fans of horror and thriller genres. All announced games will be available for download starting Tuesday, October 21st. The most notable titles on the list are undoubtedly Silent Hill 2, the remake of the legendary horror classic, and the interactive thriller Until Dawn.
Horror games will dominate PlayStation Plus in October
This month’s most anticipated release, Silent Hill 2, is releasing a reimagining of the 2001 classic for PS5. Players will take control of James Sunderland and explore the mysterious, mist-shrouded town of Silent Hill. Powered by next-generation hardware, the eerie visuals and disturbing sounds elevate the psychological horror experience. Another horror game on the list, Until Dawn, is also available in an enhanced version for PS5. The game follows the struggle of eight friends to survive, and every decision you make will directly impact the fate of the characters.
In addition to the horror theme, engaging titles from a variety of genres are also being added to the catalog. V Rising, a vampire-themed survival and action RPG, offers players the opportunity to build their own vampire empire. The game can be played solo, in co-op, or in online multiplayer modes. For those looking for a completely different experience, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a great option. This game, based on the gripping story of Ichiban Kasuga, captivates genre enthusiasts with its dynamic RPG combat mechanics.
Other games added to the catalog include Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, which combines puzzle and horror elements; As Dusk Falls, a gripping crime drama about two families; and Wizard with a Gun, an online survival game for 1 to 4 players. These games further enhance the genre diversity of October’s selection, offering content for every gamer.
There’s also an exclusive classic game for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers. The fighting game legend Tekken 3 is being added to the library with its original PlayStation version. However, this version includes modern features specifically developed for today’s systems, such as high resolution, rewinding, quick saves, and special video filters. This will allow you to replay the legendary fighting game with a modern experience.
