Sony has taken another important step for PlayStation Portal. The company announced that more than 50 games will be added to the device. With this development, PlayStation Portal can now be used as a full-fledged handheld console.
PlayStation Portal is here with new games
According to the statement made by Sony, PlayStation Portal users will be able to access more than 50 classic games, including popular productions such as Twisted Metal and Tekken 2. The majority of the games to be added to the library will belong to the “Classics” category, which can also be played on Sony’s old handheld console PSP. This development is considered a great innovation, especially for nostalgic game lovers.

According to the statement, the new games that PlayStation Portal users will be able to access include:
- Wild Arms 2
- Echochrome
- Syphon Filter Series
- Twisted Metal and Twisted Metal 2
- Ape Escape Series
- MediEvil: Resurrection
- Jet Moto
- Killzone: Liberation
- The Legend of Dragoon
- Hot Shots Golf Series
- I.Q. Intelligent Qube
- Pursuit Force Series
- LocoRoco Midnight Carnival
Sony’s cloud gaming support for PlayStation Portal is still in beta. For this reason, only testers in 30 countries will be able to experience these games for now. The fact that Turkey is not among these countries will be a major disadvantage for local users.
With this innovation, PlayStation Portal is no longer just an extension of the PS5, but a device that can be used on its own. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
