Apple recently launched its new affordable iPhone 16e model. The new model has a more modern design compared to previous generations. However, Apple decided to remove a very popular feature from this device. So how will this deficiency affect users and what does the company think about it? Here are the details…
iPhone 16e released without MagSafe!
The iPhone 16e, which replaces the iPhone SE (3rd generation) model, comes with a look closer to the modern iPhone design. With flat edges, thinner frames and a notch at the top of the screen, the iPhone 16e adapts to Apple’s current design approach. In addition, the Action Button, which we saw on the iPhone 15 Pro models last year, is also included in this phone.

However, the technology giant made a surprising decision by removing MagSafe support in this new model. Although the iPhone 16e has magnetic wireless charging support, it does not have a ring that allows MagSafe accessories to fit magnetically. This means that the device can only charge wirelessly at 7.5W.
A company official who made a statement about Apple’s decision said, “Most people in the iPhone 16e’s target audience still charge their phones with a cable.” However, today, the MagSafe ecosystem has become an important feature not only for charging, but also for many accessories such as cases, wallets and in-car holders. Therefore, this deficiency has caused great disappointment for some users.
