Porsche blamed its CEO for the decline in sales. The company, which has not received the expected return from the Chinese market for a while, has made a change of duty in order to improve its sales figures. Porsche China CEO Kirsch was dismissed and Alexander Pollich was appointed in his place.
What is the status of Porsche sales?
We recently informed you that Porsche’s sales are deteriorating. The automotive giant, which has decreased by up to 51 percent in certain models in the first six months of this year compared to the previous year, is facing the same situation in China. In fact, Porsche, which has been known as the world’s largest in China until now, has recently experienced a serious decline with the increase in electric cars in the country.
China, which has become the center of electric cars with both its own brands and other brands, has recorded a serious decline in sales of internal combustion vehicles. Porsche has also been affected by this. The company, which blamed the decline in sales on the company’s China CEO Michael Kirsch, appointed experienced manager Alexander Pollich in his place.
In fact, this appointment is not due to Kirsch’s failure. Kirsch, who has achieved great success in China so far, is only leaving his place to Pollich, who is more experienced and has fought on more fronts. Pollich, who plans to regain market momentum with both the new Macan and Panamera models and the electric car strategy, also aims to renew its product range.
The automotive sector is currently going through a difficult period due to electric cars. While serious electric car sales are being recorded on one side, sales are plummeting on the other. Brands are still undecided about which vehicles will be produced and sold in which regions. Let’s see if the company can achieve the sales figures it wants in both electric and internal combustion engines.
