New models from the ROG Xbox Ally series, developed in partnership with Microsoft and Asus, have begun appearing on European shelves. Although the official launch hasn’t yet been announced, specifications and pricing for the ROG Xbox Ally and its higher-end model, the ROG Xbox Ally X, have been leaked through retail channels. Pre-orders are expected to begin in August, with the devices expected to go on sale in the European market in October.
ROG Xbox Ally Series Prices Announced
According to listed prices in Europe, the ROG Xbox Ally will launch for €599, while the Xbox Ally X will launch for €899. These prices are slightly higher than in the US, where the current ROG Ally X is launched with a starting price of $799.

However, due to production in China and Taiwan, US tariffs create uncertainty regarding international pricing. It’s noteworthy that Microsoft hasn’t yet officially confirmed European pricing.
Hardware details for the new models have also been revealed. The ROG Xbox Ally comes with a 7-inch 1080p IPS display. Powered by the AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, the device features 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. The device’s battery capacity is 60Wh.
The ROG Xbox Ally X model stands out with its more advanced hardware. This version is equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor. It also offers 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM, a 1TB SSD, and an 80Wh battery. Its chassis is finished in all-black.
Both models feature VRR-supported displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screens are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The top-tier model also features advanced connectivity options such as impulse triggers and a USB4 Type-C port.
The ROG Xbox Ally series will compete with models like Valve’s Steam Deck and Lenovo’s Legion Go in the portable game console market. With next-generation Ryzen chips, high refresh rates, and generous RAM and memory configurations, these models are expected to offer powerful alternatives, especially for mobile gamers.
