Huawei is reportedly working on two new flagship tablets featuring OLED displays. According to reliable sources, the Chinese tech giant is developing a lightweight and portable 8.8-inch model, along with a high-end 14.2-inch tablet.
Countdown Begins for Huawei’s New Tablet Models
Both tablets are said to be based on the K9 platform, which likely refers to the Kirin 9 series chipset. The 8.8-inch device is expected to feature a slim design suitable for everyday use, while the 14.2-inch model will offer more premium features.

While the full technical specifications of the tablets remain unknown, it is highly likely that the larger model will be equipped with a 13,000mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging. The compact tablet, on the other hand, is expected to house a smaller battery that still delivers solid performance without disappointing users.
Huawei is also preparing to launch two foldable smartphones in China in September 2025. The first, named Mate X7, will fold like a book and feature a 7.95-inch 2K COE LTPO UTG display. It is expected to be powered by the Kirin 9030 chipset. On the camera front, the device will reportedly sport a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with macro capabilities, and a multispectral sensor. The second foldable device, Mate XT 2, will be unveiled at the same event.
