Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 performance test results
Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed the AnTuTu performance test results for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. For those unfamiliar, AnTuTu is an application used to measure and compare the performance of smartphones.
According to the source, LPDDR5T RAM was used during the tests, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scored 2 million points in the AnTuTu test. In comparison, the previous-generation processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, scored 1.06 million points. This represents a significant improvement, especially in the GPU department.
In the GPU test, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scored 840,000 points, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 scored 600,000 points. With the new processor featuring the Adreno 750 GPU, it is expected to offer a 40% improvement, which is great news for mobile gamers as it promises impressive gaming performance.
While the CPU performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is not disappointing, it falls slightly short of expectations. The new processor scored 440,000 points, representing a 15.7% increase compared to the previous-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
It’s worth noting that when the new processor is integrated into smartphones, we may see different performance results. For now, based on what’s visible, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 appears to offer a significant performance boost. The unveiling of the new flagship processor is expected on October 24th, but the first smartphone model to feature it is still unknown.
