Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will leave all iPhones behind with its performance!
Qualcomm, which recently shared the launch date of its new processor, subjected Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 to Geekbench tests today. According to the test results, the 4th generation Snapdragon 8, which left behind Apple’s powerful processor A17 Pro, also shows a considerable performance in the single-core test.
According to the data shared on Geekbench, Gen 4, which contains a total of eight cores, 6 basic and 2 high-performance, basically operates at 2.78 GHz. The high-performance cores can reach a maximum speed of 4.09 GHz. With Android 15 and 12GB of RAM, the S8 Gen 4, which completed the single-core test with 2884 points, received 8840 points in the multi-core test. Considering that Apple’s processor A17 Pro received 7300 points in this test, the S8 Gen 4 performs about 20 percent better on average.
According to performance reports, the 4th generation Snapdragon 8, which will widen the gap between iOS and Android, will be introduced at the launch in October. Then, the processor, which we will first see in the Xiaomi 15 family, will power many devices such as iQOO and vivo.
