Qualcomm has officially confirmed that Quick Share, the feature that lets Android users send files directly to iPhones, will soon arrive on Snapdragon-powered devices. The announcement means the AirDrop-style tool won’t remain exclusive to Google’s Pixel 10 series for long.
Quick Share expands beyond Pixel 10 with Snapdragon support
Google made headlines by enabling Quick Share to work with iPhones on the Pixel 10, making it the first Android phone to support direct file transfers to Apple devices. Now, thanks to Qualcomm’s confirmation on X (formerly Twitter), that same cross-platform sharing power is coming to a much broader range of Android phones.
In response to a post from the Android team promoting Quick Share, the official Snapdragon account replied: “Can’t wait for people to use this once enabled on Snapdragon in the near future.” It’s not a full rollout date, but it’s clear the integration is actively in motion.

Quick Share might reach even more Android devices
Snapdragon chips power the vast majority of Android phones across multiple brands, so this move opens the door for Quick Share to become a near-universal Android feature. While MediaTek and Samsung haven’t chimed in yet, industry chatter suggests the same feature may come to MediaTek and Exynos-powered phones too.
And it likely won’t stop at smartphones.
Since Quick Share already exists on tablets and Chromebooks, there’s a strong chance that these devices could also benefit from iPhone compatibility once the update rolls out more widely.
What this means for Android and iPhone users
This update marks a major step in breaking down the walls between Android and Apple ecosystems at least when it comes to sharing files quickly and wirelessly. Instead of relying on third-party apps or awkward workarounds, users may soon be able to send photos, videos, and documents across platforms with a single tap.
It’s not here just yet, and Qualcomm hasn’t given a timeline, but when it lands, Quick Share could finally give Android users a seamless, native alternative to AirDrop one that even plays nice with iPhones.
