Realme announced the international version of the 14x model it introduced in India last month. This version drew attention as an adaptation of the Realme V60 Pro, which is exclusive to China, for the global market. The company has now offered a slightly different version in Malaysia.
Realme 14x appeared with its new version
This new variant includes some changes compared to the previous model; one of the most important differences is that it has a smaller 5,000 mAh battery. There is also a limitation on the battery charging speed in this model, as it supports 15W charging, whereas the version in India had a more powerful charging capacity. Also, this new variant is IP64 certified instead of IP68/IP69. This means that the dust and water resistance of the device does not reach the level offered by the Indian version.
Other technical specifications remain largely unchanged. A 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate is used. This display offers a wide range of colours and a smooth visual experience, allowing users to expect high performance in activities such as gaming or watching videos.
Powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 processor, the phone promises a successful performance in terms of high processing power and efficiency. The company has not made a big change in terms of cameras; a main camera with a resolution of 50MP and a selfie camera with a resolution of 8MP are used. Especially the 50MP main camera is optimised to take clear and detailed photos even in low light conditions.
Realme 14x offers 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space to its users. It is possible to say that the storage capacity is sufficient because it provides a lot of space for applications, games and media files. The phone uses the Android 15 operating system with Realme UI 6.0. This provides faster app switching, better battery management and a refreshed user experience.
The device will be available in Malaysia in two colour options, Peridot Green (emerald green) and Carbon Black (carbon black). The phone will go on sale exclusively through TikTok Shop and is priced at 1,099 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately US$251). This seems like a good option for those looking for an affordable flagship alternative.
