Realme is reportedly preparing to launch its upper-mid-range smartphone series, the Realme 16 Pro, in India soon. According to new leaks, the series is scheduled to be launched in India no later than next month, on January 6, 2026. This series will consist of two models: the Realme 16 Pro and the Realme 16 Pro+, with the return of the “Plus” variant.
Realme 16 Pro Coming Soon
According to tipster Sanju Choudhary, the base storage option for the Realme 16 Pro series will start with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with configurations up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage available. Previous leaks indicated that the phone would be released in three colors: Master Gray, Master Gold, and Camellia Pink.

The Realme 16 Pro+’s camera specifications appear quite impressive. This phone is said to feature a 200MP main camera and a telephoto lens. A 50MP sensor is expected for the front camera. The device’s display specifications also point to a higher-end model, featuring a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Sanju also claims that the Realme 16 Pro series will be powered by an unknown octa-core chipset with a maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz. However, it is known that the main core of current mid-range Qualcomm processors does not have a maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz.
Therefore, it is more realistic to expect the series to use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 or another Snapdragon 7-series chipset, as found in the previous Realme 15 Pro. It is also rumored that this series will continue to ship with 7,000mAh batteries, as in the previous generation.
The launch date is less than a month away and more details about the phones are expected to emerge as the launch draws nearer.
