Realme is making final preparations to officially unveil its highly anticipated flagship, the Realme GT 8 series, in October. The standard version of the Realme GT 8 has already garnered significant interest because it will bring some Pro-level features to the standard device. According to Realme Vice President Wang Wei and leaked information, the device’s performance will be quite adequate. Here are the details.
The Realme GT 8 will offer a 144Hz refresh rate
The most striking aspect of the Realme GT 8 is its generous display technology. According to DCS, the standard GT 8 will feature an OLED panel with a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, just like the Pro model.

The display supports a global peak brightness of 2000 nits in daily use. However, Realme is also introducing a new Sunlight Display Technology that allows 20 percent of the panel to reach an incredible 4000 nits of brightness, especially for outdoor visibility.
A critical improvement has also been made for gamers. Thanks to a new haptic control chip integrated into the display, the instantaneous sampling rate has been increased to 3200Hz, and the multi-finger touch sampling rate has been increased to 360Hz. This translates to ultra-fast responsiveness during gaming sessions.
The phone will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. A dedicated display processor will also be integrated into the device to boost performance. Early benchmark results shared by Digital Chat Station show the Realme GT 8 achieving an impressive AnTuTu score of 3,322,942. This score clearly demonstrates the device’s promise of pure processing power.
The GT 8 is said to feature a refined design with a frosted metal frame, a glass back panel, and rounded R-angle corners. The phone, which is said to support advanced 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition technology for security, is expected to come with a large 7,000mAh battery, like the other members of the series.
The series will ship with Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 out of the box. While it’s been confirmed that the Realme GT 8 Pro will be the first phone to launch in India with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it remains unclear whether the GT 8 will be available in markets outside of China.
