Realme is opening a new chapter in smartphone batteries. The company announced the launch of a new phone with a battery capacity exceeding 10,000 mAh in a post on the X platform. This development is seen as a step up from the 10,000 mAh prototype showcased last May.
Realme May Exceed 10,000 mAh
The company will reveal details of the new device at a launch on August 27th. The phone is expected to feature a battery similar to the silicon-anode battery technology used in the Realme GT 7. This technology increases battery capacity while keeping the device’s thickness and weight within reasonable limits. Despite its 10,000 mAh battery, the prototype shown in May was only 8.5 mm thick and weighed 215 grams.

Realme Vice President Chase Xu spoke of “redefining boundaries” in a short promotional video. However, the video did not provide any details about the phone’s specifications. The question everyone is wondering now is whether this massive battery phone will be available globally.
Whether the company will use this new battery technology in just one model or in future flagship series is another closely watched topic. Whether this technological breakthrough will lead other smartphone manufacturers to similar capacity increases is also being discussed in the industry.
