OpenAI is about to surprise the AI world. The company is claimed to introduce its new large language model called “Strawberry” in two weeks. The new language model will have a much stronger structure than the current GPT-4 in solving complex problems. So, what makes the “Strawberry” model so special?
OpenAI’s Strawberry model answers with reasoning
First of all, the main focus of this model is the ability to reason. When faced with multi-step and complex questions, Strawberry thinks first instead of giving an immediate answer . After a thinking process of about 10-20 seconds, it plans to provide more accurate and detailed answers by minimizing errors. In this way, the accuracy and consistency of the answers will increase, and users will be able to obtain more satisfactory results, especially in the face of detailed analyses and multi-layered questions.
However, this model also has some limitations. Its initial version will only provide text-based responses, meaning there will be no multi-modal responses (e.g. visual or audio responses) like other OpenAI models. These features may be added in later stages, but for now the model will only be used for text chats. Also, Strawberry’s response time may be slightly slower, and we may have to pay a higher subscription fee to get quick responses.
Although OpenAI will offer the Strawberry model to its users via the ChatGPT platform, this model will actually be introduced as a standalone product. It is planned to be offered as an optional option from the ChatGPT menu. It is expected to give a great advantage to artificial intelligence, especially in more complex tasks that require reasoning. If the claims are true, this mysterious AI model will be introduced by November at the latest.
