Red Magic, ZTE’s gaming smartphone brand, has launched its first tablet aimed at gamers. The Red Magic tablet, which boasts a high refresh rate screen, powerful hardware and cooling system, promises a high-performance gaming experience. Here are the tablet’s features and price.

Red Magic tablet price and specs

The Red Magic tablet has a 12.1-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 2500 pixels. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate and offers up to 600 nits of brightness. Weighing 613 grams and measuring just 6.5 mm, the Red Magic tablet also stands out for its screen-to-body ratio.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset powers the Red Magic. This model, the most powerful processor of the previous generation, is accompanied by up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The new Red Magic device features ZTE’s patented ICE Magic cooling system. This innovative technology helps dissipate heat, cooling the device by up to 5°C. Red Magic claims that the temperature is kept at an ideal level for “hours of gaming”.

The Red Magic, which includes quad speakers, is not bad on the camera side. With a 16-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel single rear camera, the device is good enough for online calls.

Another notable aspect of the tablet is its battery capacity. The Red Magic is powered by a 10,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. According to the Chinese manufacturer, it can be fully charged in just 55 minutes.

The price of the Red Magic tablet, which will be released in China on 11 July, starts at $538.
