Xiaomi continues to expand its product lineup. In this context, the Chinese manufacturer is preparing to introduce the Redmi A5 to users soon. Recent developments reveal that the new model has crossed a critical milestone.
Redmi A5 Receives BIS Certification
The Redmi A5 has appeared in the BIS database with the model number 25028RN03I. While the listing does not provide any technical details about the phone, it strongly indicates that the launch is imminent. Additionally, it is worth noting that the device has previously received FCC and EEC certifications.

Although not confirmed yet, the Redmi A5 is expected to be a rebranded version of the POCO C71, which is also rumored to be launching soon. Sources agree that both models will target the entry-level segment.
So far, leaks suggest that the device will be available in 3GB/64GB, 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB variants. Moreover, it is expected to support dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth connectivity in a 5G-compatible model. Additionally, it is reported that the phone will come out of the box with Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0.
