Redmi K Pad 2 leak teases Xiaomi’s next compact high-performance tablet

Ana sayfa / News

Xiaomi appears to be sticking with its compact tablet experiment. A new leak suggests that a Redmi K Pad 2 is already on the roadmap, following the unexpected success of the original Redmi K Pad and its twin, the Xiaomi Pad Mini. Despite their size, these devices pack serious power, often outperforming larger and pricier tablets in Xiaomi’s own lineup.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi has no plans to abandon the compact premium segment. The original Redmi K Pad isn’t just holding its own, it’s competing toe-to-toe with flagship tablets like the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, all while keeping a smaller footprint.

And while Xiaomi hasn’t made anything official yet, the insider info points to a Redmi K Pad 2 release sometime next year. No specs have been confirmed, but based on the current model’s performance and Xiaomi’s recent hardware trends, expectations are already building.

Honor MagicPad 3 Pro targets iPad Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Honor MagicPad 3 Pro debuts with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 165Hz display, and 12,450 mAh battery priced well below the iPad Pro.

Despite its modest 205 x 132 x 6.5 mm form factor, the Redmi K Pad houses the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset. That chip edges out the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 found in the much larger Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, proving that small doesn’t have to mean slow.

While the recently launched Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro now takes the performance crown with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the K Pad series continues to impress in its size class.

Details remain thin, but here’s what the early signs and current lineup suggest:

This second-gen model will likely lean on Xiaomi’s experience with performance tuning, heat management, and display quality, areas where the first Redmi K Pad already held its ground.

Compact tablets haven’t had many champions lately. Apple’s iPad Mini still leads, but competition is thin. With the Redmi K Pad 2, Xiaomi seems to be carving out a high-performance niche that undercuts bigger tablets in price without dropping the spec game.

If the company nails the follow-up, it might just turn this offbeat product line into a serious category contender.
