Redmi continues to expand its product lineup. In this context, the upcoming Redmi K90 series will attract attention, especially with the innovations in the standard model. Recent developments reveal new details about the phones.
What will the Redmi K90 series offer? Features revealed
The new series will feature a 50 MP telephoto camera across all models. While in the previous K80 series this sensor was exclusive to the Pro model, and the standard and Ultra models came with wide and ultra-wide cameras, the K90 series removes this distinction, making the telephoto camera standard on all models.

There are also significant improvements on the display side. The upcoming models will have screens with more rounded corners. A new base material is being used in the panel production. Meanwhile, the OLED panel, high refresh rate, and high brightness features familiar from the K80 series will continue in the new series.
All K90 models will come with symmetrical dual speakers, a metal middle frame, and an improved 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Although the K80 series already had under-display ultrasonic sensors, the new setup will offer faster and more reliable unlocking. Additionally, an IP68 water resistance certification will be present across the entire series.
Battery and charging features have also been significantly improved. Including the standard model, the K90 series will be powered by a 7000 mAh battery capable of charging at speeds up to 100W.
From this leak, the clearest takeaway is that the biggest changes will be seen in the standard K90 model. Unlike the K80, which had to compromise on the telephoto lens and some other premium features, the K90 model will offer top-level performance at least on paper. Lastly, the launch is expected to take place in October.
