One of the most widely used web browsers in the world, Google Chrome, is receiving several new features to enhance the user experience. Each of these features aims to improve the use of the address bar. Here are the new features coming to Chrome!
Smarter autofill in Chrome!
Chrome, which is one of the most popular browsers developed by Google, is becoming more efficient and secure with each passing day. The company is improving the user experience on the platform through its ongoing efforts and the addition of new features. Today, it has added yet another feature to its repertoire.
Chrome announced an update aiming to simplify internet searches, making it easier to search directly from the address bar. The first of these updates is related to autofill. With the new update, autofill has become smarter.
Previously, Chrome only automatically completed URLs in the address bar when you correctly typed the beginning of a URL. However, with the new update, it will automatically complete URLs based on any word you previously used to search for a website.
Another feature is its ability to suggest even if you haven’t visited a popular site before or if you have mistyped the URL. Based on bookmarks and past searches, Chrome provides search/address suggestions. These suggestions are made based on addresses rather than Google search results.
The other feature in question is the ability to search within folders on both mobile and desktop. Google states that it will now directly present popular platforms from the Chrome address bar. Meanwhile, the browser is receiving positive feedback regarding these features.
