Rick and Morty is coming back with its 7th season. The announcement by Adult Swim, the distributor of the popular animated series, has caused a stir on social media. The seventh season has been the subject of much controversy following the firing of Justin Roiland, the show’s co-producer and main voice actor.
Rick and Morty without Justin Roiland debuts on October 15
Rick and Morty has been given a seventh season surprise. According to Adult Swim, season 7 will kick off with the first episode airing on Sunday, October 15. The production company confirmed that the lead roles will be reshaped after Justin Roiland.
Justin Roiland, who co-produces the series, is also the voice of Rick and Morty. Since he has been voicing both characters for many years, there will be a big change with the seventh season. However, Adult Swim is refraining from naming names when it comes to casting.
According to the press release, Season 7 will be released in more than 134 countries and in 38 languages. The new episodes will be available for purchase on digital services the day after they air. However, it should be noted that HBO Max will release in 2024.
The seventh season is being prepared for 10 episodes. According to Adult Swim’s executive, this season will be an indication that Rick and Morty is just getting started.
Although Justin Roiland is not in the series; other iconic names are likely to be in the cast. These include Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammar and Sarah Chalke.
