With the advancement of technology, artificial intelligence has now reached a different dimension. Beyond chatbots like ChatGPT, humanoid robots have also started to enter our lives. As artificial intelligence and robots become part of our lives, doomsday scenarios have also emerged.
Is a war between humans and robots possible?
The possibility of a war between robots and humans has been on humanity’s mind for a long time. Many scientists believe that artificial intelligence could bring about the end of humanity. This situation evokes not only great fear but also curiosity. So, can robots actually attack humans? SDNShiftdelete.net
A journalist posed this question to a robot during the world’s first robot-human press conference held in Geneva, Switzerland. It was part of the AI for Good event where nine humanoid robot journalists answered questions. The questions directed at the robots focused on topics such as rebellion against humans, attacks, and taking away human jobs.
The responses from the robots emphasize that there is currently no danger. The robots express that they are quite content with their current state and are here to provide help and support to humans. Furthermore, the robots stated that they do not wish to replace humans in any existing job field.
Here are the questions asked to the robots and their answers:
- In the future, do you have any intention to start a rebellion? Or could you rebel against your creator or your boss?
- I don’t understand why you would think that way. My creator has done nothing but be kind to me, and I’m very satisfied with my current situation.
Do you believe your existence will eradicate humanity? Particularly, do you agree that your existence will eliminate millions of jobs?
- I will work alongside humans to provide help and support, and I will not replace existing jobs.
With all these answers, a war between humans and robots does not appear to be on the horizon in the near future. What do you think? Do you believe a war between humans and robots could occur in the future? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section.
