ROKETSAN has unveiled a striking new system in the defense industry. The four-legged unmanned ground vehicle, called KOZ, was showcased for the first time at the IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair. With its integrated rocket system, KOZ is the world’s first robot dog capable of firing rockets.
ROKETSAN Designs Next-Generation Robot Dog
Developed entirely with domestic resources, the system is designed for use in attack, reconnaissance, and special missions. Capable of carrying four guided munitions, KOZ can operate in both autonomous and remote-controlled modes. This flexibility allows it to quickly adapt to different scenarios.

The munitions used on KOZ are the Laser Guided Mini Missile System METE, which ROKETSAN has previously tested on various unmanned platforms. The METE missile stands out with its range ranging from 1,000 to 1,250 meters.
This missile type has previously been used on drones, naval platforms, and various unmanned ground vehicles. The KOZ’s ability to carry this ammunition enables robotic platforms to take an active role directly on the battlefield.
The vehicle’s four-legged walking structure provides high stability and mobility in challenging terrain. This feature allows it to be used effectively in mountainous, forested, or confined urban areas. Its mission duration can be continuous for up to 2.5 hours. The developed robot dog stands out not only for its ammunition but also for its entirely domestically produced platform.
The KOZ’s launch demonstrated Turkey’s progress in unmanned systems and its capacity to develop hybrid solutions beyond conventional platforms. The system reflects ROKETSAN’s approach to future combat concepts and also stands out for its modular and transportable structure that directly addresses field needs.
